Week 8 :

  • Writing How to Contribute Guide
    • Completely restructured “How to Contribute” guide, helping newcomers get started with AGL specific development tools.
    • AddedGetting Linux Foundation” page which briefs about the basic procedure to access to all the AGL community development tools.
    • AddedUsing Jira for current work items” page that give further insight into the work in progress towards the Automotive Grade Linux architecture based on the community roadmap. The requirements for the roadmap are being tracked in Jira.
    • AddedWorking with Gerrit” page which briefs about using the Gerrit review system and help quickstart the contributing process.
    • AddedSubmitting Changes” page that contains guidelines for submitting code changes for review.
    • AddedReviewing Changes” page which describes basic guidelines that reviewers ought to follow.
    • AddedGerrit Recommended Practices” page that recommends best practices to help use Gerrit more effectively, which further reduces troubleshooting time and improves participation in the community.

Week 9 :

  • Writing How to Contribute Guide

    • AddedGeneral Guidelines” page that deals with many miscellaneous topics like Getting help, Reporting bugs, Submitting fixes, Fixing issues, Reviewing submitted Change Requests (CRs), Making Feature/Enhancement Proposals, Making good change request, and Legal stuff.
    • Successfully completed a descriptive Contribution Guide that will help newcomers and active community members alike.
  • Migration of AGL Documentation Site

    • Successfully migrated AGL documentation site to readthedocs infrastructure, simplifying doc build process and maintenance.
    • Corresponding JIRA Issue tracker: SPEC-3633 lists out all the Gerrit change requests required for the migration.
    • The outdated documentation site has been migrated to old-docs.automotivelinux.org which contains documentation for older AGL branches (icefish, halibut, guppy, flounder). Added provision of meta-refresh which redirects current site to the migrated site, for older AGL versions.
